Radhike Tune Bansuri Churayi-From the Golden Years!!

A small but beautiful song of the yesterday years. Shanker-Jaikishen though more known for their Western classical music/Latin folk music treatment in their songs have created pure Hindustani Raga based songs too. Two of their hits in this genre are based on the same Raga too! Jhanak Jhanak (Mannadey) and Radhike Tune are these two.
Rafi Saaab has made this classical song an evergreen one in his golden voice.

Teri Aankhon Ke Siva-Chiraag:Tribute to Madanmohan-Rafi Duo

After a long struggle since the past two days, I finally managed to sing and record a song and here is the result. Constant pains and trying to sit on the bed in a comfortable position was the main hinderance. This is a song that I hold very close to my heart. Yesterday was July 31st the death anniversary of Mohd. Rafi. Along with him, July also was the month when we also lost Madanmohan who was an eccentric genius of a composer! The duo of Rafi-Madanmohan has always spelled magic in Bollywood. The film Chiraag had a beautiful song "Teri Aankhon Ke Siva" whch was rendered both by Rafi Saab and Lataji. When you hear the interludes of this song we realise what we have lost. Today interludes are just considered a pain in the neck which are finished off quickly.
