Chandana Manivaathil-Nostalgic Raveendran!
Before Reveendran Master had departed from this world, he had given at least one gem to every singer which he or she could treasure for ever in life! Chandana Manivaathil was such a gem of a song that G. Venugopal had the opportunity to sing. Though the film did not see the light of the day, it was one of the best songs that Venu ever sang. Based on the raga "Hindolam" it creates a magical aura of romance and mystery for the listener. Sometimes it makes me wonder if this song was created just for Venu. It has become immortal in his voice!Raveendran Master left this world on 3rd March 2005. But he lives within our hearts always!

Pradeepji sung it very well. It creates a romantic mood in pure Hindolam. I love this song very much, especially BGM of Violin and Flute by experts !
Its a real Tribute to Raveendran Master on his 3rd death anniversary.

This is a question which I always ask myself.."Enthayirunnu manassil.?" Ee manassennu parayunnathu oru pidikittapulli aane... Ee paattu paadiyappo "Aarayirunnuuu manassil...?" ;)

Dear Pradip,
Wonderful song, thanks for posting it close to the Death anniversary of Sri.Raveendran.
May his soul rest in peace.
My interest in Malayalam music started with Sri.Raveendran and KJY I must say.
I've always felt that there is a certain special feeling when you listen to Sri.Raveendran's songs.
This for sure is a crown jewel for Venugopal, whom I like as well.
You've done a great Job as usual and shows how much you adore Raveendran Master.
Wow - That Mesmerizing Hindolam!!
Pradipetta,
Valare nannayittund!:)I love this song very much.
Like any other music lover, I too am an ardent fan of Ravindran Master. Long way back, he used to live in an apartment in Kaloor which was near to the area where I lived during those days .. hardly 15 mins walking distance(we later moved on to a new place). There was a temple nearby to his apartment(Pavakkulam temple)which he used to visit often, and I used to hang around the temple just to get a sight of him. I have seen him several times at a close distance, but never quite acquired the courage to approach him and talk to him. It was in the premises of the same temple, during a function organized in memoriam of Ravindran Master, that later on I had the opportunity to meet the great Das sir himself, who was very close to Ravindran master.
Like you said in your post, he always lives within our hearts!
Love & Regards,
Balu
