Israyelin Nadhan & Daivasneham - Christmas Bonanza!
It's Christmas again. It's the time to forgive, forget, reaffirm our faith in the almighty, redeem our selves, to resurrect, rethink and move ahead to the new year that follows! I would like to wish all the music lovers who frequent my blog a very merry Christmas and a very happy new year. Lets move ahead and greet the new year with more faith in ourselves and this beautiful world. Let's share and spread love and not hatred and jealousy. I present two super hits from the Christian devotional music world on this occasion. Daivasneham is special for me as it was first recorded in"Chetana" studios Trichur in my voice! I sang the track for Dasettan. The next one is a song which is still reverberating all over Kerala and has also become one of the the most favorite ring tones! This is one of K.G Markose's all time big hits!Song: Daivasneham

A great song, beautifully sung, its great to know that you had done the track for Dasettan,no wonder how it comez out with his voice with so much of bhavams..!!
Merry X-mas for you n' your family too Pradeepetta..!!
Thanks for the nicely sung songs sir. I am happy to hear those songs.
As I am busy with things couldn't get to listen to your songs for sometimes but I was able to listen to your songs today. They are very good. I am not religious but I liked the songs.
Hope you are doing good and you were able to come out from your sickness.
Wish you and your family a Merry Christmas!
Regards
Bhaaminy
can't stop myself from commenting, i like your renditions of any song regardless of the language. Can't say a word on meaning of the song. But your singing is awesome.
hey pradeepji daiwasneham is really great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pradip:
wonderful selection of songs for Christmas. we accept this gift with great pleasure.
merry christmas and happy new year!
Wonderful rendition again. In the song daivasneham, you have put so much of emotion while singing. It's a pity that this song did not come out in your voice.IMHO your version of Israyelin is far better than Markos. Markose sings without any emotion and sangathis are imperfect and unrefined. Also his singing has too much of temolo as many ganamela singers do. Your improvisations are awesome and give fresh feeling to this song.Merry christmas and new year!
Both the songs were superb! Wonderful gift for music lovers like us. I liked your version of israyelin better than that of markose.Even though he made it big in christian devotionals he has these drawbacks such as singing with the nose at high pitches, and too much of vibrato. He also does not soften his voice when required. That's why he and unnimenon could not make it in malayalam films.I never heard anyone of them singing a harimuraleeravam or any tough classical sonng ever in their life.Whenever they have attempted even lighter songs like ezhuswarangalum it was a total failure. This is also their weakness. But singers like Vineedh sreenivasan are even worse.Vineed cannot even sing his own songs on stage properly. He gasps for breath and cannot sing classical based songs. He always gets the easiest song in every movie which is sure to be a hit just because he has the sreenivasan tag to his name.Even in classmates the sujatha version was miles ahead. But he escaped as he had the film scene for his help. All his songs would have been hits in any other voice.
In daivasneham if you could make the ending lines softer it would have been still better.Just my humble opinion.
Ullas> I have resung the last lines...:-)
Kiranz> thanks....
Bhaaminy> thanks for taking time out to listen
Dhiraj> Thanks pal...
Dhanalakshmi> Thanks, for the comment
Sreeja> Thank you
George & Ullas> In my opinion, I have sung both songs as I would have sung.I think it's not fair to compare. Markose is my senior and my friend too. I grew up listening his ganamelas. Every singer has his strengths and weaknesses. Markose has dwelled upon his strengths. He has a unique style of singing and has been very successfull in the devotional field. He is a down to earth person and is very humble. We should "learn to respect people for what they are and not what they are not"! Unni is a very successful singer in Tamil!
Regarding Vineeth, time will prove how far one will go. If he has real talent he will go far. Also success and talent need not be complimentary. One should have right things falling in the right place for success. Anyway every singer has something special which when discovered and nutured gets him/her success! Lets see the good side of everything. Anyway bad art is not a crime. It's just an aberration of perceptions.Nobody gets beaten up or killed for singing badly(sometimes...unless you take money for it)! We all can live without good or bad music. Bad art will never stand the test of time. It will gradually fade away. So we need not waste time on something we dislike. What do we do with stale food? We throw it away. Just avoid it and hear only what you like. Only those with right basics backed with great talent will eventually survive!
Dear Pradip,
Both of these songs have the top quality.
They have the true emotions.
I wish you a happy and prosperous New Year.
Wish You and Your Family a Very Happy New year! May your life be filled with heavenly music and rhythms galore....
AWESOME......U R AN EVER BLESSED TALENT.BELATED X'MAS WISHES TO U AND TO UR FAMILY.......
Nicely sung songs...Israelin Naathan seemed a lot better than the original but then not fair to make comparisms. Each singer is different. I hope you get good breaks and May the Good Lord Bless you!
Both songs are very well rendered Pradip. Seems like I am way late in commenting... almost in time for next Christmas LOL
:)
Both songs are very good. Thanks
