Introducing Swati Kanitkar!
Even though Swati may already be familiar to many of the music lovers through Murali who introduced me to her, I am introducing her voice through my blog to the blog world. Her biggest asset is her sruthi perfection. I have wondered how someone could sing with such perfection. I think she will add to the other gems we have discovered on the blog world. We have tried an old Rafi-Lata number. I hope Swati starts blogging soon. She has lot of great songs on her personal page here Swati's Website

Thanks for the new song and Swati. I am sure she will be an asset to the Blogswara world. Swati's high pitched voice would suit Lataji's songs, in movies even older than Tajmahal. Looking forward to hearing her!

I listened to this song just now. This is NOT Swati's true voice. There is some heavy distortion !! Swati's voice sounds very shrill ! Swatiji - Did you use a wrong set of parameters for the microiphone ?!! what really happened ? Any problem in mixing ??
Other than the distorted tonal quality, I loved the renditions absolutely. How do you guys manage such a clarity in akaar aalaps..Well, that is wy you guys were Sa Re Ga Ma winners / finalists and we were int he audience :)

Esp the charanam where both of you sing together had the oneness which was delectable.
Given that both of you would have recorded it from where you are, the almost perfect coord in gamakams needs a special mention!
Murali, I also noticed the metallic effect in the voice and I tried to correct it with some e.q but then later left it plain. So what you hear here is her voice as it is with minimum reverb. Swati is also perplexed! Also since I have not heard her voice much except for your song and some from her site, had to see as it is from her mic point of view!
