For S.P.B with love!

He is one of our living legends. He is forever young at heart and still going strong. He is the "sakalakalavallabhan" of Indian playback singing! Whatever he does...singing, acting, dubbing...he does with his own inimitable style and elan! He is our own S.P Balasubramaniam or fondly know as S.P.B to all his fans worldwide. His 60th birthday fell on June 4th this year, and as a humble fan of this living legend, I wish to offer my appreciation by singing this terrific song of him with all love and admiration. I had the privilege of singing track for him two times in two films.

Hi Pradip,
Nice selection for a SPB tribute. I remember an interview with IR and MSV singing this very song in four different raagas. The song picturised on Amala and -oops! I forgot the name of the actor- was a big hit in the 80s.
Keep them coming-----

absolutely smooth rendition. Very nice pradip. I got a few tips from your singing especially about the middle aalaaps. Karaoke is very very pleasant.

IF you did not know, all songs from this movie were composed by MSV and orchestreated by IR

Pradip:

Good job, special mention to both the charanams. "Melaadai" although had a little too much classical gamakams which I thought could have been toned down just a little bit (-:

Also, the K-track is good. I gather it's not the original.

Meera thank u very much for the tip. I have corrected the song and have reduced the gamakas in "meeladai" part :-)meera Karaoke is not original but very good indeed. This is from what was recorded for Afsal who came up with S.P.B songs some years back.

Murali before I posted the song I did a look up on the details and found what you mentioned in dhool.
Anyway I did not know this before. But even the tune seems to be typical I.R:-)No MSV touch though....

Superb Pradip.!! Loved it.

What a song. It was a MSV/IR combo like Murali said, but the melody is awesome and SPB boy..what can we say about him..no words.!

Your choice of songs is superb .!!!

Thank you

Pradeepji,

Listening your songs since long time through cassetes and CD's and its really a privilage hearing you through your home page,I just need to mention about the christian devotional song you had sung " En jeevitham",i was really surprised hearing that cuz it deeply touched and changed my tastes in musicianz among malayalam.A deep devotional touch was integrated on the song and u had sung amazingly..
